Betsy Boo...Be bold...Nothing you can't do...

Dear Betsy,

This past 12 months, you celebrated your 6th birthday and marked off a number of milestones:

1. Learned to read

2. Learned to write

3. Learned to ride your bike

4. Performed and got a silver medal at your first gymnastics competition

5. Lost your first baby tooth and gained your first adult tooth

6. Were kind to your baby brother when not prompted by mummy and daddy ;-)

With each milestone you made me so proud and even brought a happy tear to my eye. Equally with each, you learned that trying your best and being excellent at all you do gets you the things you want in life. The first time you fell off your bike or the first word you couldn’t read or write you never gave up and you tried again and again til you succeeded. This is one of the most important lessons in life—you can do achieve whatever you want to. Just be bold and keep trying and if you fall off the first time, don’t give up.
