Un Marathon, Pas un Sprint…

 

Chère Juliette,
C’est un peu déroutant pour moi de t’écrire cette “lette à ma fille”, mais si j’avais eu une fille, j’aurais aimé qu’elle soit comme toi, et ce que je lui aurais souhaité professionnellement, je te le souhaite à toi aussi. Je lui aurais dit que la chose la plus précieuse dans une carrière professionnelle, c’est de pouvoir se rendre chaque matin au travail sans pieds de plomb. Partant de là, tout devient possible.

Saisis chacune des occasions qui se présentent pour apprendre et te développer. Trouve ce qui te passionne le plus. Sois généreuse de ton temps et de ton énergie, sans rien attendre en retour. Ta carrière, c’est toi qui la gère, et personne d’autre. Développe ton réseau. Des occasions se présenteront et tu pourras les saisir. Surtout ne te mets pas la pression sur un calendrier de progrès. Garde toujours un bon équilibre entre ta vie privée et ta vie professionnelle. Aie confiance en toi. Et prend le temps de te construire.

Une carrière professionnelle, ce n’est pas un sprint, mais un marathon.
