Fly, SuperGirl

Fly, SuperGirl

It’s been a week since International Women’s Day, and I’ve reflected on everything that I’ve read including the Leaders and Daughters letters by Egon Zehnder.  As I always tell Evelyn, my three-year-old, to be brave, I thought I’d show her the way by taking myself out of my comfort zone and writing this. Evelyn, please don’t stop asking “why,” it’s a trait that I love about you.

Be challenging, bold and brave but also question everything.

I’m not going to tell you “you can be whatever you want” because it won’t have occurred to you that you can’t. A very smart boy when asked what what do you want to be when you get older said “I don’t know, it’s not invented yet” so who knows what you’ll be. I’m looking forward to your journey and your dreams.

Be present, put down the iPad/phone or whatever device people use in the future, look around you and daydream.

Now go back to watching Paw Patrol
